Dov Auto

Company Policy

How Dov Auto operates the US auction floor — standards, conduct, Payment Desk rules, and compliance.

Last updated: August 12, 2026

1. Purpose & scope

Dov Auto (“Company”, “we”, “us”) operates dovauto.com, a United States vehicle auction marketplace. This Company Policy describes how we run the platform, the standards we expect from participants, and how we handle compliance, disputes, and desk operations. It applies to all visitors, registered buyers, sellers, and dealer accounts.

2. Our role

Dov Auto provides listing, bidding, identity review, and Payment Desk settlement tools. We are a marketplace operator — not the seller of record on most lots unless explicitly stated. The sale contract is between buyer and seller; we facilitate discovery, bidding, and documented settlement.

3. Platform standards

  • Every live lot displays title brand (clean, salvage, rebuilt, flood, lemon/buyback) before bidding.
  • Buyer’s premium is disclosed and calculated before bid confirmation.
  • Anti-sniping: qualifying bids in the final minute extend the auction window.
  • Reserve status is shown honestly — we do not use fake countdowns or hidden reserves.
  • Identity verification is required before bidding to protect sellers and serious buyers.
  • Incomplete or misleading lot files are rejected at desk review — not published to inflate inventory.

4. Participant code of conduct

  • Provide accurate registration information and keep account credentials secure.
  • Do not engage in shill bidding, bid manipulation, or use of unauthorized automation against other bidders.
  • Do not misrepresent vehicle condition, title status, mileage, or ownership.
  • Do not attempt to circumvent platform fees or move transactions off-platform after introduction.
  • Treat desk staff and other participants professionally; harassment or threats result in termination.
  • Report suspected fraud to support@dovauto.com with lot number and evidence.

5. Bidding & auction rules

Each bid is a binding offer at the stated amount plus the disclosed buyer’s premium. Bid increments follow published tiers. Winning buyers must complete Payment Desk settlement per invoice terms. Failure to pay within the stated window may result in account suspension, relisting fees, and forfeiture of bidding privileges.

6. Payment Desk policy

  • Settlement is operator-confirmed: wire (preferred for same-day release), ACH (2–5 business days), or approved dealer terms.
  • We do not process consumer card checkout on the public floor — invoices reference lot number and operator ref.
  • Funds are tracked per auction record; release steps follow title and payment confirmation.
  • Dealer terms require approved credit paths and licensed account status.

7. Title & vehicle disclosure

Sellers must disclose known title brands, liens, and material defects. Buyers should review inspection notes, photos, and title guide before bidding. Material misrepresentation after delivery may be escalated through our dispute process within the published window.

8. Disputes & enforcement

Disputes for active transactions should be opened from the buyer account so they link to the auction record. Our desk reviews evidence from both parties and may hold settlement steps pending resolution. We may suspend or terminate accounts for policy violations and cooperate with law enforcement where required.

9. Marketing & communications

We may send service messages (bid confirmations, invoice updates, security alerts) by email or SMS when you provide contact details. Promotional messages include an unsubscribe path where required by law. Advertising measurement uses the Meta Pixel only after you opt in via our cookie banner — see the Privacy Policy.

10. Intellectual property

Dov Auto, dovauto.com, logos, and platform content are protected. You may not scrape, copy, or resell listing data or use our marks without written permission. User-submitted photos and descriptions remain yours; you grant us a license to display them on the platform for the listing term.

11. Compliance & governing law

We operate in compliance with applicable US federal and state auction, consumer, and privacy laws, including FTC guidance on advertising and disclosure. These policies are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Venue for disputes shall be in Dallas County, Texas, except where mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.

12. Changes & contact

We may update this Company Policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Questions: support@dovauto.com · +1 (800) 555-0199 · Dallas, TX, United States.
